Improve your world, add beauty wherever you can.
Dickie Rainbolt of Rainbolt Art creates surface
patterns that balance a sense of history with a
distinctly contemporary point of view. Drawing
from botanical forms, traditional decorative motifs,
and the visual language of interiors and textiles, he
develops collections that feel familiar but reward
a closer look. His process is led by hand, using
drawing, painting, digital mark-making, and custom
brushes derived from original artwork. It is shaped
by current color and design direction without being
driven by trend alone.
Before focusing on surface design, Dickie worked
as a production artist in advertising, giving him a
strong understanding of how creative work moves
from concept into production. Today he brings that
technical fluency into a design practice built around
scalable vector repeats, coordinated collections, and
adaptable colorways, with a particular interest in
wallpaper, home furnishings, and fabric.
